Dear Colleagues, in our sixth webinar for 2026 and sixth episode of the “Clinical Endodontics - Master Series” scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 20:00, Nadia Ypsilanti, Endodontist, will be covering the topic: “Elective Endodontic Treatment in Contemporary Minimally Invasive Dentistry: When, How, and Why?”. This webinar is a collaboration of the Hellenic Association of Endodontists and the Dental Association of Drama. Attendees will be credited 1,5 CE credits (MEEO). The language of the webinar will be Greek.
Abstract
Endodontic therapy is indicated for the prevention or treatment of pulp and periapical disease. However, beyond these clear indications of dental pathology, there are other clinical cases that may necessitate the intentional removal of the pulp.
Within the framework of this webinar, ways to address extensive loss of dental substance will be presented, and the effect of various dental treatments on the pulp will be analyzed.
Are we ultimately in a position to diagnose the trauma caused by these interventions? Is the pulp always capable of managing it?
Finally, treatment plans that include elective endodontic therapy will be described, and the factors that influence its selection will be investigated.
Is the choice of elective endodontic therapy ultimately a straightforward matter?

Nadia Ypsilanti, Endodontist, DDS, MCLIN DENT
Nadia Ypsilanti was born in Thessaloniki in 1980. She studied in KALAMARI Greek-French School. In 2004 she graduated from the Dental School of Aristotle University and worked as a general dentist. In 2007 she completed the 2-year postgraduate course in Endodontology (MClinDent) at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, with distinction.
From 2007-2009 she worked in London, both in private clinics and the NHS (National Health System) where she treated patients under sedation. She also held teaching positions both at the postgraduate programme in Endodontology and at the continuing education seminars of the Eastman Dental Institute.
Since then she frequently participate in endodontic seminars for dentists. Since 2009 she run a specialised endodontic clinic in the center of Thessaloniki. The also provide endodontic treatment for patients who cannot cooperate in practice, in hospital environ-ment under general anaesthesia.
She is an active member of the following councils:

- Hellenic Association of Endodontists
