Dear Colleagues, in our fourth webinar for 2026 and fourth episode of the “Clinical Endodontics - Master Series” scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 20:00, Antonis Glynis, Endodontist, will be covering the topic: “Root Canal Obturation: From Theory to Clinical Practice Abstract”. Attendees will be credited 1,5 CE credits (MEEO). The language of the webinar will be Greek.
Abstract
Root canal obturation is a critical stage in the success of endodontic treatment, aiming to prevent microbial leakage and ensure the long-term periapical health. This webinar provides a comprehensive, scientifically evidence-based analysis of contemporary obturation techniques, including traditional methods such as lateral condensation and warm vertical compaction, as well as newer approaches using thermoplasticized gutta-percha and bioceramic obturation materials. The advantages and disadvantages of the various materials and techniques are examined, with reference to specific clinical cases such as retreatments, open apices, and complex root canal anatomy.

Antonis Glynis, DMD, MSc Endodontics
Antonis Glynis was born in Athens in 1990. He graduated as a dentist in 2014 after six years of training, obtaining the DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree with Distinction. In 2017, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he completed a three-year postgraduate specialty program in Endodontics at King’s College London. He further advanced his training with additional education in Advanced Endodontic Microsurgery.
Since 2017, he has been working as a dentist in private clinics in the United Kingdom, and since 2019 he has practiced exclusively Endodontics in various private practices in Southern England. In 2023, he co-founded the endodontic practice “Crete Endodontics” in Chania, Crete.
He is a member of the British Endodontic Society, the European Society of Endodontology, the Cretan Stomatological Society, the Hellenic Association of Endodontists, and the Chania Dental Association.
He has published articles in international dental journals and has delivered numerous presentations at international and Greek conferences. He is also a Key Opinion Leader for several dental product companies.
