Informations
Dear Colleagues, in our first webinar for 2026 and first episode of the “Clinical Endodontics - Master Series” scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 20:00, Dimitra Sakka, Dental Surgeon and Endodontist, will be covering the topic: “Diagnostic Challenges in Endodontics: From Misdiagnosis to Accuracy”. This webinar is a collaboration of the Hellenic Association of Endodontists and the Dental Association of Trikala. Attendees will be credited 1,5 CE credits (MEEO). The language of the webinar will be Greek.
Abstract
Diagnosis in Endodontics is a critical stage of the therapeutic process and often determines the success or failure of clinical management. Pathological conditions of the pulp and periapical tissues do not always present with clear and typical clinical findings, a fact that increases the risk of diagnostic errors and inappropriate treatment decisions.
The clinician, by collecting information from subjective symptoms, clinical and radiographic findings, as well as from the patient’s medical and dental history, is required to synthesize the data and move from “misdiagnosis” to “accuracy.” The correct interpretation of diagnostic tests and the comprehensive evaluation of all clinical data are of crucial importance in avoiding diagnostic mistakes.
In the present seminar, a structured, step-by-step diagnostic approach will be presented, with emphasis on the most common diagnostic pitfalls encountered in everyday clinical practice. Through representative clinical cases, the process by which errors can be identified and corrected will be analyzed, guiding clinicians safely from diagnostic uncertainty to accurate diagnosis and effective patient relief.
