Abstract
Endodontic treatment is a highly demanding dental procedure. It requires timely recognition of the anatomy of the pulp cavity, knowledge of the interaction between technology and biological environment and great clinical skill. Root canals with ovoid cross-section often present an endodontic challenge, since this morphology can undermine the cleaning and shaping procedure and also reduce the obturation quality. Contemporary research focuses on strategies for broader contact of root canal instruments with canal walls, increased irrigation effectiveness and obturation optimisation. The aim of this webinar is to review the literature data, highlight clinical concerns and suggest treatment options.
