Dear Colleagues, Our next webinar is scheduled for Tuesday 22/02/2022 at 20:00. During this webinar our speaker, Endodontist Passalidoy Stamatina will be covering the topic “Irrigation during root canal treatment: Methods, Protocols, Inovations”. This webinar is a collaboration of the Hellenic Association of Endodontists and the Dental Association of Halkidiki. Attendees will be credited 1,5 CE credits (MEEO) as well as 1,5 CPD Credit Hour. The language of the webinar will be Greek.

Abstract
The irrigation during an endodontic treatment is probably the most important part of the chemomechanical preparation of the root canal because it is the only way to clean some complicated parts of the complex system of the root canal such as isthmuses and anastomoses. Although every clinician has his own irrigation protocol a lack of theoretical knowledge is noticed among the general practitioners. In this webinar we will discuss the action of the irrigants, the suggested and widely used protocols but also the treatment of the mishaps that can occur during irrigation. We will also take a closer look to the innovations that are tested concerning the irrigation methods which can be extremely useful in the near future.

Passalidou Stamatina
Stamatina Passalidou is borned and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, where she was graduated from the Experimental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She was entered first the Dental School of Aristotle University of Athens, she was named an ensign of the Hellenic Navy. She has served in several positions as a military dentist before she entered the 3-years Master of Science in Endodontlology in the University in Ghent, Belgium (2011-2014).
During her studies , she has worked in dental clinics in Antwerp and Brussels as a general practitioner with special interest in Endodontics. Since her return to Athens, she has worked in dental clinics in Luxemburg and in Athens as an endodontist. She is now ahead of the Endodontic Department in Athens Naval Hospital and she has founded Athens Endo House, a specialized endodontic clinic.
