Dear Colleagues, in our next webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 20:00, Vasileios Petsinis, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, will be covering the topic: “Effective pain management in Endodontics: Anesthesia, analgesia and antibiotic use strategies”. This webinar is a collaboration of the Hellenic Association of Endodontists and the Dental Association of Piraeus. Attendees will be credited 1,5 CE credits (MEEO). The language of the webinar will be Greek.
Abstract
The presentation will provide an in-depth overview of pain management methods using analgesics and other specialized medications. It will showcase techniques for effective anesthesia that can be employed by dentists in cases of intense and acute pain. Finally, the indications for the use of antibiotics in addressing infections that cause pain in the oral and maxillofacial region will be presented in detail.

Vasileios Petsinis
Vasileios Petsinis holds degrees from both the School of Dentistry and the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), along with a Master’s and a Doctorate from the School of Dentistry at NKUA. He has been a certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon since 2005, practicing the full spectrum of the specialty.

He was elected Lecturer in the field of “Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery” in 2009, Assistant Professor in 2014, and tenured Assistant Professor in 2018 at the School of Dentistry of NKUA. In 2024, he was elected Associate Professor in the field of “Surgery–Maxillofacial Surgery” at the School of Medicine of NKUA.
